Sabrina-Vivian Höpcker, was born in Hamburg, Germany.  She began her violin studies with her father at the age of eight. When she was 14 years old, she entered the University of Music of the city of Bremen, as a preparatory student of Prof. Maria Grevesmühl. Three years later  Max Rostal, who was assistant of Carl Flesch, called her to study with him in Switzerland. 

 

After finishing secondary school in 1992 as the best student of the entire age group represented, she entered the Hanover Music High School where she studied with  Jens Ellermann, former assistant of Dorothy Delay and teacher of students such as Midori and Gil Shaham. After successfully taking part in various international competitions, she studied for four years with  Prof. Zakhar Bron, teacher of Maxim Vengerov and Vadim Repin, in Madrid and Lübeck. In 2000, having been student of the lately very well known Prof. Josef Rissin, teacher of Sergey Khachatryan and Maria-Elisabeth Lott, she finished her advanced studies in Karlsruhe receiving a unanimous “excellent”,. 

 

Sabrina-Vivian Höpcker took part in masterclasses of important teachers like Isaac Stern, Max Rostal, Zakhar Bron, Yfrah Neaman, Mauricio Fuks, Zoran Milenkovich, Rainer Kussmaul, Valery Klimov, Felix Andrievsky, just to mention some.  As a soloist she played in the “European Music Festival” in Munich. She also performed in the “Théâtre du Palais de l´Europe in Menton, France, as an ambassador of the young German violinist generation. She also performed at the “Summer Music-Festival” in the city of Hitzacker, at  “Braunschweiger Kammermusikpodium”.  She played in the series, “The New Soloists”, in the “Auditorio Nacional de Música”, Madrid and was invited repeatedly to perform for “DORIAN” concerts in Hamburg and Munich. Lately she has performed in the series “Winners & Masters” at the Gasteig in Munich. 

 

As a soloist she worked together and performed with personalities of the classical music world like Zubin Mehta (two concerts with his “Bayerische Staatsorchester” in Munich, and one concert at the “Auditorio Nacional de Música” in Madrid), with Yehudi Menuhin, with Victor Pablo Perez, James Judd and lately also with Placido Domingo, performing with him on the occasion of his concert in Germany in the year 2001.

 

Sabrina-Vivian Höpcker is the winner of the following national and international competitions:

In 1997 two CDs of Sabrina-Vivian Höpcker performing works of Beethoven, Schumann and Mendelssohn-Bartholdy with her Piano-Trio “Trio Mozart” were published by SONY España and Anfión which were received favorably by the Spanish press.

 

Since April, 2000, Sabrina-Vivian Höpcker has served as 1st concertmaster of the “Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie”.
